Variable Font
Modular
I designed a modular typeface built entirely from punctuation marks. These pre-existing shapes—dots, commas, dashes, exclamation points, and more—directly form the glyphs of my font. I focused my work on finding the right shape combinations, ensuring legibility, and developing its variables. The variable reveals the construction and deconstruction of the letters. I applied this graphic and poetic tool in various contexts, including an Arabic translation project.
